And today I'll be blogging about my food experience over at the Penang Hawker's fare held at York hotel! It was so good I went back the second time within a week!
The fare is located in York hotel, which is just beside Far East Plaza. You can find the address at the bottom of the post.
So upon entering York hotel, just go pass the reception and walk in. You'll be able to see a restaurant looking area which is where the buffet is located at. You have to make payment before entering and enjoy your spread. The buffet is priced at $25.80++ for adults and $18.80++ for child below 12 on a weekday, and $28.80++ for adults and $20.80++ for child on a weekend. Lunch and dinner pricing are the same. After GST and tax, it came up to close to $30/pax for an adult.
We immediately went to survey the area and began our buffet spree! Took a bit of everything that they had to offer, which consisted of 11 stalls -- Char kuey tiao, Prawn noodle, Rojak, Laksa, Duck porridge, Kangkong, Lom bak, Ice Chendol/Kachang, Oyster omelette, Kuey tiao, Ban chang kuih.
The plus point about this buffet is that they will serve you in small portions, so you get to taste everything in the first round. So when you go for round two, you would know which dish you best prefer. Also, per pax is only allowed to take up to 2 plates at a time.
The auntie was such a cutie, she smiled for my camera. The uncle next to her was asking her to smile for my camera, and they both ended up taking a picture together haha.
All in all, my favourite dishes got to be the Oyster omelette, Prawn noodle, Ban chang kuih and Kang kong. These are the few dishes that I kept going back for more! The others were pretty up to standard too. We literally ate to our fill and left with a satisfied tummy. (and that we went back for round 2 hahaha)
I highly recommend all of you to go check this out! This fare is only till 30th of March, so hurry down now! Although I vividly remember seeing the banner outside for quite some time, but it's best not to take a risk haha. Remember to go with a empty stomach so you can really try everything!
